Paula Nehorai, AMFT, APCC holds associate’s degrees in both Professional Clinical Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing—each individual has their own journey and story, which is why finding the right technique and therapeutic connection is so important. When a person feels truly seen, understood, and supported, meaningful change is possible!
Paula earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Vanguard University (M.S.), and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University (M.A.). Her academic and clinical training reflects a deep commitment to both the humanity and science of mental health care.
Paula has worked with a wide range of clinical concerns. She has supported older adults navigating dementia and brain trauma, as well as individuals facing anxiety, OCD, depression, PTSD, and other emotional or relational challenges. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and integrates other evidence-based practices to meet each client’s unique needs.
In therapy, Paula draws from a variety of modalities, including mindfulness-based therapy, humanistic and existential psychology, person-centered therapy, solution-focused strategies, and family systems work. She values creating a collaborative and trusting relationship where clients feel secure to explore, grow, and reclaim a sense of meaning and direction in their lives.

Her approach is compassionate, curious, and strengths-focused. Paula believes in her clients' ability to change or improve what isn’t working and is dedicated to walking alongside them in that process. She aims to help individuals move forward with clarity, resilience, and self-awareness—because whatever someone is facing, they don’t have to face it alone. Lasting, positive change is possible.
