Crisis appointments are completed over telehealth and not billed to insurance. A "superbill" will be provided that can be submitted directly to your insurance company for partial reimbursement (the amount varies depending on the insurance company). The crisis code 90839 will be used on the superbill statement which is generally a higher reimbursement rate than general psychotherapy codes. Payment is required at the time of booking and no refunds are given.
You do not need to be an existing client to sign up for a crisis appointment. When signing up for an appointment, you must attest that you are not in danger of harm to yourself or others and that there are no current or past safety concerns to minors, older adults, or dependent adults that are relevant to your care. If any of these conditions are met, you must proceed to a local urgent care center or emergency room for a higher level of care.
Crisis appointments are unavailable in 2021-2022.
