EMDR Therapy: As Close Magic As It Gets
Additional Resources on EMDR
EMDR can be done both in-person or virtually. EMDR uses Bilateral Dual Attention Stimulation to improve one's core beliefs about the self, world, and other people. Various EMDR protocols are used in targeting a variety of conditions including depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, addiction, attachment and relationship difficulties. EMDR is an 8-phase protocol with each phase progressing towards increased inner peace. EMDR is covered by insurance under regular psychotherapy billing.

Our EMDR Therapists
STANDARD EMDR PROGRAMStandard EMDR is performed as a 45-minute appointment 1-2 times per week for an average course of 10-14 weeks, depending on the issues being addressed. If you extend to a 90-minute session (two back-to-back sessions), insurance may cover the initial 45-minutes but will not cover a double session (90 minutes).

INTENSIVE EMDR PROGRAMIntensive EMDR is delivered for 4-hours per day for 2-10 days spaced as close together as possible. Insurance covers 45-minutes per day. We can attempt to obtain pre-authorization for additional hours, but it is not typical. A cash rate can be coordinated for time above insurance coverage at $150 per 45-min block with a 10% discount given if 6-blocks or more are purchased.

EMDR SKILLS GROUPS
Prior to beginning EMDR Bilateral Dual Attention Stimulation Reprocessing, clients must complete 5 EMDR resourcing skills presented over 5 groups. These can be attained in individual or group therapy and are helpful even without continuing EMDR. Even if individuals complete 5 skills groups, individual sessions are required to ensure readiness to move into EMDR Phase IV.
